1. Product eligibility confirmed: goods are freely importable, regulated with permit secured, or approved as restricted 2. Importer accreditation is active and in good standing with the Bureau of Customs 3. AHTN or HS tariff classification validated, preferably with broker support 4. Required permits and clearances obtained before the applicable shipment or import deadline; pending applications checked with the issuing agency 5. Accurate and consistent product description confirmed across all commercial records 6. Supplier contract and purchase order reviewed with Incoterm clearly stated and understood 7. Bill of lading or air waybill draft checked for shipper, consignee, notify party, routing, accurate goods description, and correct HS code (tariff classification) 10. Certificate of origin obtained if preferential tariff or origin-based regulatory requirement applies 11. Insurance or freight support documents collected or confirmed as available 12. Proof of payment or financial arrangement documented and available 13. Product-specific documents collected: datasheets, MSDS, test reports, labels, registration certificates 14. Mode of transport selected: air freight, sea freight, or multimodal based on urgency and cost 15. Entry port or airport selected with clearance and onward delivery logistics in mind 16. Landed cost estimate prepared: product, freight, insurance, duties, VAT, port, brokerage, trucking, warehousing 17. Licensed customs broker in the Philippines engaged and in possession of pre-departure document set 18. Final delivery planning completed with trucking, receiving team, and warehouse appointments where needed 19.
